My Response

My delegated task was to write the script. This was a relatively new experience for me as I had only ever written a synopsis. The collaborative process was difficult as at the time I and another member of our group were self-isolating so we had to communicate via social media. We worked on our tasks by sharing ideas we had through social media and working as a collective to produce our individual pieces of pre-production material.

However, I had to primarily write the script by myself. I went about this by using my previously attained knowledge of screenwriting to set up a word document that my other group members could access. I then with the help of my group brainstormed specific ideas from our narrative we wanted to be featured in the opening script. Once this was done, I took this information and began to write the script as I had seen feature film scripts written in an earlier analysis task we had completed. working individually was a good experience as I was able to put my ideas down which then my other group members could add to. It also allowed for my teacher to be able to give me helpful feedback and support on what I needed to work on/ change and what was already good.
