The first piece of music we chose was 'On the nature of daylight' by Max Richter. We chose this piece due to its quite classical melody but powerful pitch and general rhythm. We wanted to have a relatively classical piece in our production, however, we initially struggled to find something that would not only sound classical but work for our film. That's when we decided on this piece. We felt as if it carried a peaceful tone, but held a darker underside. This is a common theme throughout our film.
Then we settled on the second piece of music that would form the primary track for our production this was 'Lost in transmission' from the video game 'My Little Nightmare'. Even though we were very happy with our initial choice as it carried emotion and story. We felt it was missing some of the more creepy aspects that our film needed. As I came across this track after playing the game it was from. I felt it also held some of the more classical sides of the first track, at the same time as holding a very creepy atmosphere.
