Editing for impact

3) I think the filmmaker chose to present the scene this way as it builds anticipation the audience want to see whether or not the pig will be successful. Throughout the whole film Babe has been the underdog and this ending is a success as it shows Babe being successful in the competition. It makes the audience feel good and happy. This is further reinforced by the loud cheers from the crowd after Babe is successful and the triumphant music which plays throughout the finale.
